Repeat this process five times, then leave the key in the on position.
The next step is to buy a new case for your key fob. They can be found at a variety of auto parts stores and are usually inexpensive. You can get them without electronics based on the model.
To open up the case, place a flathead screwdriver inside the slot located in the middle. Gently work it. The case should split easily, and when you've got it open, you'll get access to the internal electronics. Use a flathead screwdriver, which will gently pry open the electronic components.
